Pascal Walter

Pascal navigates between his native Guadeloupe island (Caraibes) and Belgrade where he currently resides. His rather unique career began in the early 1970s in the garden of a School of Decorative Arts when, as a boy, he snuck in and immersed himself in an ocean of material forms and colors. As a teenager he devoted himself to street art, using stencils and graffiti to make his mark on the emerging movement. "I have named my productions 'imprint', the abstract imprint reflects intimate resonances. During the creative process, fragmented layers of consciousness are formed, the deep exploration of thought takes place, the past marries the present. All these imprints are made almost blindly, at the very place where chance and matter work, the movement fixes shapes without being able to predict the result.
